Prep Rally: All Metro Cabinet members must be at Citadel High School by 5:30pm on May 11th. The doors will open at 6:30pm for people attending the event. It is important that the members of the Metro Cabinet are there early to set up, review the dance and rehearse the skit. Once everyone is registered, they will be mingling until 7pm. At 7pm everyone will be introduced. The Co-Premiers will speak for a little bit and then the event will transition into icebreaker games run by the Wendys. Games such as caviler and molecules will be happening. Following games there will be a 15 minute snack break. There will be tie-dying for people who bring their own shirts and an option to participate in more games for those who do not have their own shirt to dye. Julia Mcintosh and Taryn Hanrahan will be running the tie-dying station. Samantha Delaney will be bringing in the snow cone machine and tie-dying supplies. Taryn Hanrahan is responsible for bringing in the snow cone syrup. All Metro Cabinet members must know the Prep Rally flash mob dance and be prepared to instruct others on how to perform the dance. There is half an hour allotted for teaching the flash mob dance. Saisha Rankaduwa will be checking prior to the Prep Rally to confirm wither or not she has access to the cotton candy machine. The Metro Cabinet reviewed the script for the Prep Rally skit. Metro Cabinet members will be responsible for running games in smaller groups and working assigned food stations.
What to Bring: All members of the Metro Cabinet will be bringing tourist clothing such as Hawaiian shirts, fanny packs, and visors. Each person performing in the skit is required to supply any props that their role may require. Anyone who has photo booth props is asked to bring them to the Prep Rally. Gabrielle Torrealba will be bringing a block rocker to the Prep Rally.
Advertising: The Metro Cabinet member that brings the most people from their school to the Prep Rally will receive a prize. The Prep Rally should be put on every schools announcements.
Gala: The NSSSA Gala will be taking place on June 10th at 5:30pm. Tickets are available online for purchase.
Taryn Hanrahan motioned to adjourn the meeting at 20:11 and Becca MacAulay seconded said motion.
