Metro Stories Metro cabinet members performing the Epic skit! In this year's Epic, The Bad Pirates have stolen the swag from The Good Pirates.
Metro Events This year's keynote speakers were Dan Kelly and Sarah Hill. They spoke together on the topic of goal setting. We received nothing but positive feedback, and we were very lucky to have them.

The Metro Region is made up of the Halifax Regional School Board, as well as other schools such as the French and private schools in the Halifax Region Municipality. Each year the Metro Region holds a Grade 9 Conference and a High School Conference at Mount Saint Vincent University.

Our Grade 9 Conference A.L.I.E.N.S (Adolescents Learning In Exciting New Surroundings) was held on Saturday November 17th from 9am-9pm. This conference had 130 grade 9 students attend and was the largest grade 9 conference in the history of the NSSSA. Overall the day was very successful and hopefully the grade 9's that attended A.L.I.E.N.S will continue to come to future conferences and continue with leadership!

Our Regional Conference R.O.Y.A.L (Revolution Of Young Adult Leadership) will be on February 23rd-24th. At this conference there will be over 300 student leaders learning leadership skills through hands on activities and working as a team to complete initiatives. Grade 9 students who have attended A.L.I.E.N.S are welcome to attend this conference!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Co-Premiers Jenna Kennedy and Erinn Musial

Hi, I was wondering if there is a date set for the Gr. 9 NSSSA conference in the metro area. Or if there is a certain time of year this happens (Ie. NSSSA provincial is always in the Spring)
