Sou'West Events Members prepare for a Sou'West Jr. High conference; IGNITE'09

Did you know the Southwest region is the largest region geography wise in the NSSSA? Well, if you didn't, you know now!

This has been a busy year in the Southwest region, with three conferences being hosted within our borders. Our first conference was P.R.E.(T.E.N).D '10 which was held at Hebbville Academy for South Shore Junior High students. Next was H.A.N.G '10 held at Shelburne Regional High School for Tri-County Junior High Students. This conference was the first ever Tri-County only conference; history in the making! Ending off the year is E.L.E.V.E.N '11 at Digby Regional High School. This conference is held for high school students in the Tri-County and South Shore school boards.

As Sou'Wester's, we are home to commercial fishing, the Reese's Pieces cheer, and best of all incredible enthusiasm! Yelling over boat engines is what we do best, so cheering comes naturally to us. Logistics and chaperones would say you can always spot a lost Sou'Wester, as they are usually the ones headed unknowingly towards the water.

If you have never attended an NSSSA conference before, we hope you will consider coming to a good old fashioned Sou'West conference. It is an extremely rewarding experience unlike any other.
