We enthusiastically invite our Members to join us May 15 and 16 for our elections for 2026-2027 Provincial Cabinet roles.

What’s new this year?

• Question period:following speeches, Members are invited to ask questions of all the candidates.
• Online voting:that’s right! We’re ditching our paper ballot boxes for a fast, secure online election.
• Distance voting:can’t make it to provs? Members are invited to register to vote by distance. Details below.

Members registered for the provincial conference, Turn it Up!, are automatically registered to vote in-person.

How will voting work?

We are using an online system, LimeSurvey, to run the election this year. Each registered voter will receive an access code – that is your key to vote in each race, and ensures only Members can vote. To keep things secure, our elections are configured for anonymized responses,meaning there is no link in the database between your access code and your vote.

• In-person voterswill be handed an access code at the door of the voting room. Once speeches and Q&A conclude, voters will be invited to scan a QR code to vote in the election.
• Registered distance voterswill be emailed an access code for each election.

Speeches & Voting Details

Our community is invited to join us on Instagram Live before voting begins. Streams for President and Vice-President will be on our main @nsssaofficial page. Regional live streams will take place on our regional Instagram channels. While anticipated start times are noted below, these are estimates and are subject to change due to operational needs at the AGM. Please monitor our Instagram pages closely.

Please note that voting may open slightly earlier, or close slightly later than advertised to account for in-person requirements at the AGM.
